A Framework for Psychedelics, Entheogens & Expanding Your Consciousness
Really? An episode about psychedelics?
Yes. There are plants that we have been taking for millenia and that we don’t know how to deal with anymore. As we are standing at a moment in time where expanding our consciousness is fundamental to our survival, it is hard not to cover consciousness expanding substances. Not an easy topic because there is a lot of confusion going on, it’s controversial and the space is facing many challenges:
- globalised access to all sorts of ethnobotanicals
- moving regulation,
- the search for scientific evidence,
- misinformation and mispractice
– in short: the urgent need for adapted frameworks.
Ben De Loenen was the person to talk to about this. His team at ICEERS stewards the globalisation of ethnobotanicals, dealing with policy, legal, therapeutical, ethical, commercial issues among others, and involving the various stakeholders towards the creation of a constructive system so everyone wins. Everyone? Well, maybe not those fighting against highly conscious societies…
