#001 – A Coffee with Dali

Transcript:

“Each morning after breakfast I like to start the day by earning twenty thousand dollars.” that’s a quote form Salvador Dali. Yea he used to sign blank sheets of paper as well as drawings from random people - to make quick cash. It’s estimated that he signed over 350k sheets of paper in his career. Confusing right? That’s what I want to talk about today: confusion. My name is Camille & you’re listening to Cosmic Dynamics - 5 minutes of exploration on art, change & the music of the universe. I was thinking about what it would have been like to meet Salvador Dali - say for a coffee. I actually live not too far from his house and I like to think it could have been possible a few years ago. There is a quote that fascinates me and that I am still masticating: “You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life”.  Let’s think about this for a minute... Confusion. That’s an idea I would gladly explore with him at the coffee table - if we were say in the 1964. And, Looking at the viral confusion we are living in today, I can see how it can set creativity free in society; don’t you? And you, have you ever thought about what YOU would ask Dali at the coffee table? let me know, and thank you for tuning in.
